Director of Operations
In my role as Director of Operations, I work closely with Mrs Bull, the Chief Executive Headteacher, Ms Revell, Head of School at Lonesome Primary School, Mrs Hart, Head of School at Singlegate Primary School and Miss Akhtar, Head of School at William Morris.
My main responsibilities are:
- School budgets, including providing financial information to senior leaders and the Governors.
- Human Resources including recruitment and payroll.
- Premises.
- Managing non-teaching support staff.
- Contributing to strategic decisions on operational issues.
I thoroughly enjoy the diverse challenges and opportunities the come with supporting The BeDifferent Federation and will always endeavour to ensure that are children get the best.
Mrs Zacharias-Searle
In my role as Personal Assistant I work extremely closely with Mrs Bull and the Federated Senior Leadership Team to provide in depth administrative support in a whole range of ways.
This includes:
- Supporting with the preparation of paperwork for staff and senior leadership team meetings, as well as minuting these meetings
- In depth data analysis of in school and external data in order to support the strategic vision of the Federation and to support the Senior Leadership Team in target setting for attainment and progress across the school
- Supporting Mrs Bull in her organisation and ensuring that she has everything she needs every day
- Supporting at school functions and events
- Supporting the office teams in compiling and circulating communication for families across the Federation
- Working closely with Mrs Hart and the JTA team at Singlegate to plan and deliver a range of activities that support the School Travel Plan and to ensure that the travel plan system is maintained and updated every year
Mrs Samboer
I am the Office Manager at the school, and I work closely with the Chief Executive Headteacher and the Education Welfare Officer to ensure the attendance of each child is recorded and maintained. This includes preparing reports for the Chief Executive Headteacher, the Education Welfare Officer and the Governors termly. If your child is not able to attend school for any reason please contact me at the school office on the first day of absence to notify me of the reason for absence, and subsequent mornings. We ask that any medical appointments are made for after the school day has finished, however if you do need to collect your child early please let me know in writing with any supporting evidence of the appointment, e.g appointment card, hospital letter.
I also work closely with the School Business Manager, supporting financial and administrative tasks and the School Fund Account.
I also have the responsibility of taking the bookings for the After School Club and Breakfast Club, maintaining registers and payments. If you child requires the need for After School Club or Breakfast Club provision please come and see me to collect a registration pack.
Miss Phillips
I am the Communication Officer for Singlegate Primary School. I am responsible for ensuring all important information is distributed to staff and parents via parent mail.
I notify parents about all that is happening within the school, news letters, coffee morning, events, mufti days, dress up days, family feasts, behavior texts, extra curriculum clubs etc.
I keep record of collection arrangements and ensure all class teachers have the relevant information needed to ensure children are collected by the appropriate adult.
I am also responsible for booking all school trips and arranging public transport, coaches and mini buses.
Another part of my role is to monitor and keep a record of school lunches and payments and send monthly reports to our catering company Chartwells and send balance letters to parents.
My others tasks include general administrative duties, such as answering parent queries via the telephone, face to face and email as well as supporting my colleagues.
Mrs Newman

Mrs Mohan
I am the school Federation Office Assistant. I help across all three schools assisting with general administration supporting my colleagues wherever needed. I also assist with queries from parents and take relevant messages for staff.
Mrs Bennett
I am the Schools Admissions Officer, a member of the office team and the first point of contact at the school.
I am responsible for Admissions, Pupil Premium, Savings and Snack funds and general administration duties.
The Admissions Policy of the school is administered and processed by Merton Council who co-ordinate applications for Singlegate Primary School. Mr Parsons
I am the Site Manager and I ensure the school is safe and clean. My duties include the repair of items/furniture should they be broken or damaged.
The purchasing of stock/supplies for all aspects of the school from cleaning to classroom equipment. All aspects of health and safety i.e. checking doors and windows, emergency lighting, fire alarms, signage etc and making reports of all these matters. I organise and meet with builders for planned building works and oversee the plans to completion.
